Hi, just bought the playbook yesterday and upgraded to 2.0. This might be a stupid question. I can not find the native email, contact and calender icons anywhere. How to set them up?

    Thanks!!!

You are on the beta which is for developers, therefore does not have the native email, contact, and calender you want.

You didn't "upgrade" to 2.0, you uploaded an experimental Beta OS which doesn't have the features you're looking for. The official 2.0 will be out in about 10 days or so.

Sorry, no native email, contacts and calender until the official OS 2.0 upgrade which will/should be available in February. You would be using OS 2.0 beta which is really available for developers.

I just got this thing today, updated to 2.0, then installed bridge.

Accidentally, I found the contacts, email, calendar, tasks and memo apps in the bridge browser. Just moved them to the top line, and it's just like on the 9810!! Very, very cool!

That's NOT Native email, calendar, tasks and memos. That's the Bridged apps from the Torch.. Disconnect your Torch and they go bye-bye.

I was a First Day adopter of BB Storm 1 & 2, Bold 9930 and the Playbook. I've learned my lesson once and for all. RIM dug themselves a big hole all by themselves and have left us hanging on all their products from launch through endless updates.

I'm still hoping the PB investment wasn't a total waste, but the PB is going to be old technology by the time they get the OS straightened out.

Chasvs is correct. They are not native but clones from your phone. They way I like them. Very cool indeed. The on PB versions will be here soon enough but wether or not I will use them remains to be seen.

Agreed. Why mess about when its all just a bridge away. No sync worries or other uneeded headaches. It just works. Lol
