I'm willing to put in a spot of time to understand this, but I need to know the place to start.
Like many, I bought a PB last Fall from Currys in London, when they went on the silly-price sale. I'm back in the U.S. now, and I decided to dig the PB up and update/reboot it. Doing so, and with the latest .1526 OS on it, it is *markedly* slower than it was last Fall. What has happened?
I don't trust the company and I'm paranoid they added a bunch of backdoors, etc in to support ad delivery mechanisms. Sorry about that if this is tinfoil-hat.
Its probably because now, you have a faster cellphone and call feel the PlayBook lagging behind.

No. I distinctly remember the touch-and-feel for Email and for Browsing was excellent. And my FiOS WiFi here in NJ is much faster than my BT ADSL was in London. No, there is something wrong now- it is almost painful to use for simple chores.
Yeah, my PB much slower (64GB), especially browser (Got Origami Browser- MUCH better than native), as well as email and calendar. I have considered reinstalling OS, but pisses me off that no bookmarks get backed up.
