I've purchased my playbook 32g on sale, love it, and I have been trying to convince the husband to purchase a 16g while the price is still at 200$. He continues saying he is going to wait because he is convinced the price will drop even more.
I told him about the already substantial discount...
I told him about OS 2....
..yet he is still adamant.
What do you think? Will the price drop more?
At the end of the day if he has to pay more for his Playbook it won't be a huge issue, only a shame, and I am really not the type to rub it in his face and say I told ya so. He however, god bless him, IS the type and I want some confidence that the price really is not going to drop more and that I am right.
If it turns out the price is going to drop more, I will tell him now he "may" be right. It will soften his gloating should it turn out true.
I'm confused, why would you "soften the gloating" ? Come on, you know you'd hear about it for a week if the tables were turned. I'd tell him they won't drop any lower and actually going back up at some retailers. Then wait for the fun
I don't think the price will go lower. In fact, it's looking like the current discounts offered at shopblackberry.com are going away on the 20th.
2.0 will add value to these tablets; I can guarantee that just from using the last developer preview (browsing experience is AWESOME). I suspect there will be a price increase, but who's to say how much?
In the near future it won't. In the best buy flyer posted yesterday you could see that they were pushing OS 2.0 and increased the prices by 100 for each model.
You might see similar prices to what they are now when the new revisions (3g/4g) come out later this year.
