Have I tried everything to get Playbook OS reloaded?
I dusted off the old Playbook and wanted to take her for a spin this week, but low and behold the dreaded 0% battery problem prompting a nice 3 hour session of stack charging.
Had it taking a charge for about 24 hours and was stuck on "moving bubbles" screen. Tried to reload via BB Desktop Manager 6 and 7, it sees the PB for about 5 seconds while trying to connect and see if there's a tablet update, then the device reboots and starts regular boot sequence. Interesting side note, in DM 7 when trying to do the "restore from brick" trick, the LED would flash 5 red about 5 times. In DM 6, it would do green.
Anyways, since DM clearly hated me, I have an autoloader for the last official Tablet OS. I'm able to turn it off, turn it on, access the bootloader thru the autoloader and see the RAM image upload to 100%. Then the same behavior is displayed that DM 6 would. 5 green LED flashes repeating 5 or 6 times, then nothing. The autoloader exits and devices boots up normal and back to the "moving bubbles" screen.
I think I've tried everything...including disconnecting the battery from the board...
Am I out of options?
You know when the RIM autoloader fails, you're in serious doo doo.
