I was studying all RETAIL Unit unboxing videos, I noticed one major similarity.

Units with a flush Power button have a Grey color LCD (doesn't blend with the color of the bezel.)

    Newer units a near-black LCD.

    GREY LCD:

What shade is your PlayBook display?

Is the difference the 'demo' units versus the consumer-purchased units or is it two different build materials and things were dealing with? :/

don't want to switch it off just yet ;-)

weird, at my local best buy the sales skippy asked his manager 'do we have any presales playbooks left?' - 'no, they're all gone!'

so maybe it has to do with that?

will switch off and let you know.

edit: it's the angle / reflection that does that, it seems

i think you might be overlooking it. mines flush but the lcd depends on what is reflecting on it.

Not really representative pictures, the black is taken almost straight on, the grey at an angle. An interesting theory but needs pics taken from the same angle and lighting situation on representative screens to eliminate a trick of the light.

It's definitely not the camera, the LCD itself has a dark shade to it.
