I recently returned my first playbook due to a few dead pixels. After receiving a new one I have noticed that the power button is not as easy to press as my old one (i think it is pretty much flush) and also the screen does not seem to be as high quality as my old playbook. For example pictures seem to be blotchy and colours not quite as crisp, the images are still nice but don't seem quite as vivid. I have also noticed a dead pixel on this playbook which is a bit annoying. There also seems to be around 20-30 pixels which when viewed on a black screen near the centre at the top mainly running along a horizontal line which are 'stuck' they are not black but a mix of blue, red and green possibly white.

I should think i will return this as playbook as well, has anyone noticed anything similar in regards to screen quality being different?

you can see the dead pixel, (i think its dead shows up as white on a black screen but black on all others) in the middle of the lens, appears to show a lot more 'stuck pixels' around that area. The large group is on the upper left of the image, doesn't look that bad to me but it carries on, couldnt fit it all in properly.

I haven't noticed screen quality being different, across 10 units I've played with, but if I had more than a single dead pixel I would absolutely be returning it. Lots of people return for even one dead pixel, but I'm not sure it would be worth the hassle to me. For 20-30? Definitely. Bad unit.

i added an image to the first post which shows the main 'dead' pixel and the string of stuck pixels. I will probably return it at the weekend, 3rd time lucky hopefuly!

Good idea, make sure you check the device before you leave the store along with a salesperson

I would return it for one dead pixel. I've gone through two PB because of this issue and if your still under warranty or exchange, why not?
