Well, the day thay I never thought would arrive finally came. After 10 years with a BB by my side I am know with another operating system. I won't say which so as not to start a flame war, but BB did too little too late.

Its a sad day when BB itself has forced us to have too choose another platform because of the slow updates, glitches and lack of support to their core group of users.

Actually, it's not BB, it's you because you are just trolling. You are no fan of BB because fans don't say too little too late, especially when something as promising as BB10 comes along. one more thing.....working for a living and raising 2 kids is not an excuse....my dad worked 2 jobs raised 10 kids....and he found the time......to have kids.....

A helping hand? A 'please don't go we will miss you'?....A wait a minute i just heard os10 has just been updated? A little understanding? A 'sorry to see you go'.......Or what he got.....branded a 'troll' (it didn't surprise me) i'm only surprised it took this long...

When you get on the outside, please ask a builder to widen the exit as in the next 12 months there will be what I would describe as a "stampede" towards it.

Forget that ask the builder to make two large exits because if bb10 comes to the pb they will need an exit for users after that and the handset users will have their own.

A helping hand? When people ask for help they get it. How many times have you seen a thread like this end in "thanks for the help I will now stay with blackberry"? He wasn't looking for a helping hand as his mind was made up. Yes he's entitled to his opinion but so is everyone else.

I really don't understand why someone has to announce that they have changed their cell phone, smartphone, tablet etc... If I ever switched, I wouldn't expect anyone here to care. I would just switch and go on with my life and keep in touch with the friends I made and move on.

No, I'm afraid it very much is BB. While BB 10 may well be "promising," that's hardly enough from a company that has consistently disappointed its user base over the past three years. It's at best destined to become a lightly supported niche platform. If that floats your own personal boat, fine, but for many of us former ultra-longtime BB users, enough is enough.

Best response in the entire post to sum up what many hardcore blackberry users feel today.

The problem is People want everything to be perfect... there's nothing perfect out there.. They come here and let us know that they are leaving. The platform is too new, you can't just have the perfect things over night... BB10 is growing and promising..Yet, people come here and pretend that it has been around for centuries....

Reading this thread brings back memories. When I first joined this forum even negative thoughts regarding the pb would get one tarred and feathered and escorted to the edge of town by vigilante fanboy.

I've just built a private entrance to my cellar for you my friend. That post was perfect! When I made early posts on here it was along those lines and actually what these people don't say is what they mean. I once started a thread titled "the time has come the walrus said" and was berated on it just like the op. I can't speak for the OP but in my case read:

"I don't understand this playbook and I'm that pissed off that I'm leaving bb unless someone of more bb experience than I have can tell me that I am doing something wrong and therefore not to leave"

As they post it on a playbook forum, if they are genuine then they are asking for help in a roundabout way. Never the less out come the fanboys and because you have had the nerve to say something that they don't like they brand you a troll.
