I've seen a few topics on this situation, but did not reach acceptable answer. I have a 16GB PB. Was at one time. I try Security wipe, downgrade and reinstall software completely but 5mp rear-facing camera problem still continue. Is this a hardware problem? If so, you will be very bad for myself. Because of serious problems in technical service is available here

Can you describe the problem more completely? Do you see any image or just a green screen? The camera facing YOU, or on the screen side works okay? While you mention Tech problems where you are, the pb generally has a one year warranty.

The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

Thanks for the reply. Just green screen. Like I said, was at one time. I did not impact or anything.
I cannot take a picture with rear-facing cam. Front camera working smoothly. I press the button then got the message (camera in use or camera error). I live in Turkey. Playbook has a limited-warranty in here. Technical services provided by lazy subsidiaries in Turkey. Extraordinary high-priced technical service available in here. More sadness for me.

Unfortunately, "camera in use" error canNOT generally be fixed by you, the user. It generally needs repair from Rim. I don't know what else to suggest. Maybe try calling one of the facilities somewhat nearby - Bulgaria in that list?

I purchased by local operator campaign. Bulgaria, nope. Too far. I bow to fate or -actually I don't want do this- last resort, maybe I try the luck local subsidiaries technical service.
