Hello fellas, im trying to use my PB as GPS and it is sooo damn SLOOOOW!,
can you guys recommend me how to speed up the tracking time.


PS: i've try outdoor and indoor with same results.

It's relatively impossible to get reception inside. As for outside, if you have buildings around, it will take slower. If you're out in the open, it may only take seconds.
This is true for all GPS devices

I've found it works really well. Not as fast as my Sprint Bold 9930 with Telenav (which gets tower assistance), but it's pretty good. I've tried it using Magellan and it tracked dead-on and very quickly.

First acquisition or after a long move or long time off (days), it will take longer. In a city with tall buildings it will take its time. Won't work in parking garage. Initially it needs a good open view of the sky.

My PB was slow in acquiring GPS pre-.668.

After the 668 update, it can even log on inside my house!

I use the GPS extensively with the Osmand navigation.

outdoor in the open works best (as already stated)

i find that the tracking is fairly fast or understandable at least, but i find osmand slow. and often funky. i clearly see on the map it shows a left turn, but the voice in osmand says turn right, lol. happends 50% of the time. maybe due to all the buildings nearby where i notice it happens most.
