Snapped it at the eaton center, the guy was very nice and let me do anything to it. So I set the password and here you all go.

Well where's the pic? Will update it when I'm home and get it off my phone cause I can't post from my bold 9000

And when I said not exciting I meant the lock screen. Its just a box that says enter password and keyboard.

Rep also said no sd card. I really don't see them having a fake body to hide that fact.

The preprod version I played with at the Eaton Centre today was only a 16GB version. I didn't look at how much memory was used but I had 12 apps running at one point and didn't see any noticeable degradation in performance. I'm still going to buy the 64GB version but not because the machine needs app memory... but because I want store my entire photo and music on it.

Dammit I forgot to see if you can set owner information so it shows up on the home screen when locked.

it's behind schedule. Can't expect too much.

Although I'm hoping that in the update it shows the clock/date, weather, and currently playing music with some sort of controls.

This. Has anyone seen the Windows Phone 7 lock screen? Something similar to that would be very sexy but with controls to show weather / music like graham mentioned

There's likely a reason why this feature isn't shown by the reps...it's not finished. Wait until the release of the damn thing before you start commenting on how garbage things are. The actual lock screen could be a world different,

Didn't someone say in another thread that a RIM rep told him that generic lockscreen was only temporary on these demo devices and not the final thing?

In any case, it has nothing to do with them being "behind schedule". It's just a stupid lockscreen -- not rocket science.

you mean like this? this is lockinfo for jailbroken iphones, guessing you mean same deal, which would be cool

It's just a concept, so bear with me.

the grean spots are the slider points, so you slide in the ark to unlock, and you slide in the shape to play/pause/skip forward/skip back

I'm pretty sure that for security purposes it's not recommended to have information such as emails in the lock screen.

And I really think that's the song RIM should put in their PB commercial.

This looks way too busy IMO. Personally, I like the look of Android lock screens so I wouldn't mind the Playbook having an Android-like lock screen.
