    Hi,
Unfortunately I've given up on the PB and got an Android Tablet.
However not all is lost, it's now owned by my wife!
One strange problem I was stuck on is this.
I'm in the UK, and do a search for lets say blue widgets on Google.
Google shopping results are all for USA sites and show dollars.
I cannot get the PB to reliably think it's in the UK so my better half gets relevant UK results.

anyone else get this? any ideas?

    Thanks
    Jeff

Are you searching from google.com or google.co.uk

    .co.uk

and i know on the page you can set your location, but it seems to get ignored, or treated as an irelevance!

That seems strange, since on my PB, when I search on google.co.uk, I get UK shopping results. And I'm in the US.

on an Inline search of google.co.uk I get UK shopping entries interspersed with normal search results as normal.
but the shopping link gives all $ USA results.

    Oh Well....

Well, remember, the PB has a great calculator that does currency conversions.

    That's not the point.
I had a fault and thought someone may be able to help fixing it.
Telling me it's crap/irrelevant/etc. is not the answer is it. This happens far too much on these forums.
It's getting to the point where it's not worth trying here....

I'm sorry you read something in my question that wasn't there. Did I say it sucks or is irrelevant? No I did not. It is a serious question as I don't know. Maybe I'm missing out on something good. But I guess not if there is kind of attitude.

I've noticed this problem in my 9900 as well as my Playbook. When searching Google.co.uk it brings results from the US, where as the same search from a PC will produce UK based sites/results.

I've just gotten into the habit of typing "UK" after my search term, but its not ideal!
