Google has just released a new web based benchmark utility that is supposed to replicate real-world usage better than synthetic benchmarks like sunspider.

    https://developers.google.com/octane/

Problem is, I can't get it to run on my PB. Haven't tried it on the iPad yet but I will try later and post results. In the mean time, can anyone else try it on their Playbook (wifi or 4g) and see if you can get results?

Direct link if you don't care about the techy stuff: http://octane-benchmark.googlecode.c...est/index.html

Mine completely crashes the browser. I haven't sat and watched it, so it could be getting stuck there as well. Tested my iPad, it completely skips that test.
