rapid charger, BlackBerry sleeve case, Zagg screen protector, car charger
There are other threads talking about playbook apps
15 foot long micro HDMI to HDMI cable from Amazon (for about $12 shipped). Its the best thing... instantly converts your HDTV into a huge playbook :)
I bought the 6 foot cable from Best Buy for $32 to test how it works. Then ordered the longer cable from amazon for the third of the price. Now the short cable goes back to BestBuy :)
With reported new feature to use your bb phone in os 2.0 as a remote you may not need such a long cable:p
Just ordered one from Amazon!
OEM Leather Journal Case
OEM Rapid Travel Charger
SGP Ultra Fine Mat Screen Protector (Optional)
Incipio Silicrylic Case
That should do it. ;)
rapid charger
silicon case
book reader
grave hd defense
The way I read and understood it, the new feature will let you use your BB phone as a wireless remote to control your PB such as using the BB as a mouse or type using your BB keypad rather than using the onscreen PB keyboard etc.
So unless I am missing something, how will this feature enable you to connect your PB to your big screen HDTV without needing the HDMI cable?
We use a long cable to control pb from the couch. With the remote feature, you can use a short cable.
i got the BB convertible case, micro HDMI and screen protector, also bookmark this site on your browser
otterbox case for pb and modern combat app.. lets rock!
1. "Files and Folders" app for $3. You really need access to the Playbook's filesystem to manage pdfs etc. This program does it well. Also integrates nicely with Dropbox, Box.net, Google storage etc. Saving files to the cloud allows you to print, continue editing Word Docs etc from another system and is just generally kind of cool.
2. 15 foot microHDMI to HDMI cable from eg Monoprice. About $15. Streaming video while surfing on the Playbook is about the only practical use I have found for the PlayBooks multitasking capabilities.
3. There is no 3.
Simple browser plus - must have app - charging cradle - must have cradle - saves wear and tear on your USB connector - but never pay more that $50 for it.
I like the idea of the charging pod/cradle and just before the PBs went on sale, they were selling for 16 to 20 all over the internet with no tax and free shipping. Now, after all these sales, the lowest I could find for the charging pod was about $35 on ebay. That just tells how the PB sales and increase in the installed base has driven demand for accessories. I am sure the same applies to Apps.
Make sure you buy a MICRO-hdmi to REGULAR hdmi.
Oh, and you'll find those for 5$ on ebay. I got one, works perfectly fine, free shipping from China... probably made in the same factory as the +30$ ones ;-)
Well, we will have to wait and watch what the feature exactly does. I would still like to have the full QNX experience rather than having the PB sit next to the TV and use the shi$ty BB UI :) .... that just beats the whole purpose LOL
Patience is the first accessory you will require and patience is not a luxury. :rolleyes:getting a playbook....what else should i get for it?
The first physical accessories you might consider are a case and stylus and screen protector.
The 6-foot HDMI cable could still be used when you need to connect the tablet to a projector or monitor when giving presentations. A "go bag" has become an essential part of my life.
It won't - the PB can be located close to the TV and you sit on the couch controlling it with your phone. But really TV remote is not the whole cool deal - using the real keyboard on your phone instead of the annoying pop up fake one is the real cool deal. And using the trackpad for precise cursor placement instead of your big fat fingers. You can still touch and swipe all you want.
