Getting Contacts onto Playbook
I have a Playbook with OS 2.1.0.1917
I would like to get my Contacts from my Mac OSX Address Book. My Q10 I am able to Sync Contacts with BlackBerry Link. When I connect the Playbook to the Mac the Contacts and Calendars Syncing is Grayed Out. How do I get to activate this Option???
I went through the trouble of setting up Blackberry Bridge but found out I can't import Contacts but to only "See" them from the Q10. A show stopper for me, not a usable solution.
The Playbook manual says I am able to Sync Contacts by going into Settings > Accounts > Tap an Account > Sync Contacts. Sounds wonderful but when I go through these steps I can not find the Sync Contacts Button. Any suggestions where this is hidden???
Ideally I would like to use Blackberry Link like with my Q10. They are maintained already there and correct. If there is a way to Sync them like implied in the Playbook Manual that would be fine too. I doubt this works with any E-mail provider. Too bad the manual doesn't spell it out more clearly.
What I will not do is setup Google Contacts or other Cloud Service to do something as simple as getting contacts on the Playbook. Worst case I would be willing to export the Contacts and Calendar every so often to CSV or other format and replace whats on the Playbook.
Having my Address Book and Calendar on my Mac and Syncing with my old Palm OS, Web OS, IOS, and Blackberry 4-10 devices has been very simple the past 10 years. Obviously I am missing something simple as this can't be that hard to get Contacts on the Playbook.
