Short story, I left my PB on a plane this morning because, at times, I'm an ID10T(well, my ex would say most of the time). I didn't realize it was gone until I was on my return flight this afternoon. I was pretty ticked off at myself and thought about all the hopeless calls to the lost and found, calls to RIM to block the PIN, and what to do to replace it.

When I landed, I got an email from someone who found it!!! Said he found it on his flight, so luckily the cleanup crew overlooked it. He's more than happy to return it once we work out the details. Fate would have it that we're about 95 miles apart at the moment so I'll try to meet up with him in person.

    More to follow...............

I'm in Canada very close to Port Dover, Ontario where Friday 13th is a real celebration. Every Friday 13th, bikers from all over North America converge on Port Dover. We are screen printers and print thousands of shirts for vendors at Port Dover and so we look forward to a good turn-out so that our customers have enough cash to pay us for the shirts!

So when I saw the title of the thread I, at first, thought it was a reference to our celebration

TheSpec - LIVE: Friday the 13th in Port Dover

(thankfully it was a very successful Friday 13th for our customers!)

However, OP, I'm glad your story has a happy ending too!

Glad to hear your good luck. I can relate. A few months ago I left my PB in a restroom of a casino and it was actually found and turned into the concierge. There are some honest people still around

Would say urban very lucky. And I'm glad that it going to get it back my wife left her phone on the counter at a dollar general store and they let us watch the video some guy his woman and two daughters came in he seen the phone picked it they went to check out and we're playing with it in line like it was theres. I told her to put a lock on it but she never did the sad thing is she had lots of videos and pics of her mom form about 6 months ago right before her mom got hit with ms really bad almost over night and she is at the point she has a hard time talking is in the process of learning. How to try to walk again so it just sucks it was still sync to her Google. Account they were taking pics with the phone so I wrote them on her Google plus and just begged to get the phone or memory card back offered to pay 500.00 dollars for it and after that they quit taking pics with it just sucks that people are so sorry these days.... Sorry for the long post just needed to share that story for some reason

Sorry to hear about your phone loss...and few years ago my wife left hers in a dressing room again a local store, and didn't miss it for several hours. In a panic, she borrowed mine and called her number. It was answered by a clerk at the store, who had found it while straightening the dressing rooms and had taken it to the register station.

I've lost various phones over the years and they all managed to find their way home. Once in cab in Florida. One on a city bench in DT Honolulu, another at a rental car counter in SFO, and a few more I'll save for another day.

The key was having the lock screen display my name, email address, and home phone number. They may not have been able to unlock it, but they could see my contact info if they had any intention of returning it. Fortunately, they all did. Wish there was some way on the PB to do the same.

I put email address on my wallpaper picture so it displays when locked.

I was wondering if this was going to be a "R" rated story. Instead it was rated "G" for Good.

Well, it's on it's way home. The "finder" dropped it off at Fedex yesterday and should be here this afternoon. I just hope I am when the driver gets here.

It still has 45% battery power!

Thank you Benson (the guy who found it).
