Just a quick note to let you know that Files & Folders v4.1 is now available:

• FIXED! A recent change to the Box servers caused a problem downloading newer files.
• NEW! Sort folders by name, type, extension, size, date, ascending or descending.
• NEW! Swipe from left to right to navigate to the parent folder.
• NEW! Files & Folders can now be protected with a startup password.
• NEW! Optionally keep the screen on: never, while active or only while in the slideshow.
• ENHANCED! When searching, the left pane now displays the location of the selected file.
• ENHANCED! More performance improvements.
• NOTE! We support Google Drive too!

Also, not wishing to hijack the thread, I'm sure I read somewhere that you could edit .txt files with F&F, but I'll be a monkey's uncle if I can figure out how on earth to do that - could you help out someone who should know better?

bought. accessing hidden folders over bridge seems to cause long lag or freezing. is this a known issue? my phones sd card is 2gb with 1.5 full.

We've done some optimizing. We always have to strike a balance between adding new features or optimizing. This time it was mostly optimizing and bug fixing. Thus the performance imrovements. Thanks for noticing ;-)

Not a know issue. Can you elaborate? Which BB OS version? Are they large files?

No, it does not. It is on our "request list", but there are some issues concerning cryptography, notably export restrictions and App World terms-of-service. Adding strong cryptography could cut off a large portion of our users.

I have a 9930 running 7.1.0.267. only pictures. not large. example of one is 40k. program will freeze while trying to open, or while trying a second one

I wonder if you could add the option for those who want cryptology. not having it in the program itself much like how you give support for dropbox, google drive and such.

cloud fogger is a free crypto program designed to work specifically with cloud services. it is highly recommended and works very well. so well in fact if you forget the pw u selected to encrypt that could leave you without your data. which is how a true crypto program should work. real TNO tech
