I downloaded this because I have important work documents in my dropbox.

Is there a way I can secure the "files and folders" app itself?

Not sure but the developer is active in the forum. I know there is an app that hides files or folders but can't remember.

If that's the case, I would not use F&F... I'd go with Bluebox and log off after each use.

The again... Dropbox for very important data files does not seem like a very good idea to me.

Nice idea, but there's a catch... Simply uninstalling and reinstalling F&F would remove any protection. The PlayBook has no secure, persistent storage that apps can use and that remains intact through uninstall/reinstall.

Simply do not allow F&F to save the dropbox login info.
Also, why not password protect your PB. That's what I do. What I have on my PB is no ones business but my own.

I have File shield that allows me to hidden files or/and folders so you can give it a try.
