There's been plenty of back and forth between the web and RIM lately regarding the debut date of the next OS release for the PlayBook, and now we've got some hard evidence showing that the software is set to be let loose on February 21st . As you can see in the picture above, PlayBook users will be able to download version 2.0 in the early hours of an unknown time zone next Tuesday. The much anticipated update will finally give the tablet a native email client, improved BlackBerry Bridge functionality and plenty of other goodies. Not only that, BlackBerry Mobile Fusion will be rolling out that same day, giving IT professionals the ability to manage all BlackBerry devices from a single interface -- with Android and iOS controls coming in March. The picture to prove it is after the break, and now that we got that settled, we can go back to speculating about BlackBerry 10, right?

Now I am totally confused about pricing. Either we Canadian get screwed again with paying higher prices or this thing above is fake or that thread with snapshot from BB advertising is fake.

^^ could also be doctored. See:
    - 'Unteathered'
    - Pricing is now fixed (199,249,299), then later, 'current pricing good until 20th (lists same prices)'.

    Just food for thought.

What about those if us who bought a 64gb the first week of release for $699?

Whoever made that ad should be fired if it's real or shot if it's fake.

So many contradictions it's mind boggling.

The first thing I noticed was the "unteathered", and that made me doubt it was an official RIM document, not only because of the typo, but because of the "unteathered" instead of "native" email, calendar, contacts. Any self-respecting PR department wouldn't phrase that line as it is, since as it currently is it basically implies "finally getting this feature" versus "Brand new feature!". The first one it truer, but the second one is a better marketing move.

well i understand what you mean but we Canadians for what ever reason end up always paying more for the same items than our good neighbors to the south.

$100 discrepancy is not warranted especially that Canadian dollar is either at par or lightly above the US dollar.

'current pricing good until 20th (lists same prices)'.
    this is totally confusing.

I'm not sure where your saying Canadians are getting screwed. The price of 199, 249, 299 is the same on both sides of the border. I got my 32GB recently at $249 in Canada.

I'm confused also. My company was told we would be notified well in advance of the Fusion released since we have already requested it and Balance. I'll check with our IT guy to verify if he's been notified, but I'm sure I would have heard from him if we had been.

Seems doctored to me as well. I don't think I've ever seen anyone say their prices are permanent either. Maybe someone has too much time on their hands?

if you run the pic through a magnifier you can start to see were the first pixelation occures ,and not so strangly enough they first appear as a border (rectangle) around what appears to be cut and paste pics, the rest seams to be some censored stuff, then theres the typo's, but i need higher rez pic of this to truely make a call on this
