    It seems the recent issue with FB and BB10 devices have also found its way to the PlayBook? I can't start FB at all. I wonder what FB changed?

    I wish I had an answer for that.

    What I've done is install Maxthon browser and used it to access the mobile version of it. As I only have two 'friends' I keep in touch with, for me it's an acceptable solution. YMMV.

    Just a thought.

    Little to no chance of the PB native app being fixed.

    As a native alternative to Maxthon, you could also install Origami browser, set the user agent to mobile (ex. Nexus 7 or iPad), and access the FB mobile site that way.

    If you're more into apps, some versions of the Android FB app can be sideloaded on the PB. Search the apps and sideload subforums. Someone recently posted about FB lite working well on the PB, albeit only in portrait mode.

    I had Origami installed as an alternative to the stock PB browser (set Nexus 7). I'm finding Maxthon a wee bit faster and easier to use.

    I believe 'Facebook' has some personal issues with 'PlayBook' and vice versa... we have to wait for some applications that will be called 'FacePlay' or 'PlayFace' to resolve the issues.

    Facebook now working again on my Playbook. Maybe FB did something.
    But I deleted and reloaded from Apps. Now where launch app, I get the end page of set up, I close, then FB seems to work fine.

    On Playbook in general, it is very unwise for BB to let PB slowly die like this. One looses confidence in buying any BB. OK, BB10 won't run. But at least keep PB browsing tools up to date. The beauty of PB. Was it could access anything. It is slowly dying with neglect. Quality via hdmi is amazing....even at 4 years old.. None better. Chen is forcing me to iOS or Android.

    Mine is still not working - I deleted from my 2 Playbooks for now. It was never a great app, but it was nice to have the option of using it.

    Mine too, for the most part.

    Messages causes instant crash. Photos doesn't load thumbnails properly, but will display albums.
