Well guys, I've got a little bit confused by the prices of these 2 gadgets.

    There's a 16GB PB available for 349.99
    BlackBerry PlayBook - Tablet - BlackBerry Tablet OS - 16 GB - 7" TFT ( 1024 x 600 ) - rear camera + front camera - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

    And there's also a 32GB PB available for 484.99
    BlackBerry PlayBook - Tablet - BlackBerry Tablet OS - 32 GB - 7" ( 1024 x 600 ) - rear camera + front camera - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

My question is, why the 135 differential in price between 16GB and 32GB?

Why wouldn't there be that difference for double the storage space?

    Make perfect sense.

In the USA they were 499/599/699 for 16,32,64. which into pounds is 306/368/429 - I would gather the differences are VAT and import costs?

Compare with BlackBerry PlayBook to hit UK shores on June 16th - Buy at Carphone Warehouse/Best Buy, Dixons Stores Group, Insight & Phones | CrackBerry.com

which listed 399/479/559 as their prices......

Here, the difference is a flat $100, so 135 seems a bit much. But to answer your question, yes, the only difference between different versions of the PlayBook at the moment is the amount of memory.

Now that I think about it, I remember seeing a story about Amazon dropping the price of the 16g PlayBook in the UK, maybe the reduction didn't apply to the 32g and 64g versions. I wonder if the fact that the versions with more storage seem to be selling better than the 16g over here has something to do with it.

So what about the 64GB from the same place that is only about 60 more expensive than the 32GB one?

I'd wait till they are officially available in UK from authorized resellers.

My one regret about the PlayBook is that I went with the 32g and not the 64g. If you're going to make the jump from the bargain price of the 16g, go all the way and get the 64.

simple. amazon also acts as a sell thru for other retailers. if you look, 16Gb is from digigood, the 32Gb is from smart-deals. you`ll also notice different delivery costs.

these are what these companies are charging due to the fact they`ve imported them. they arent out in the UK yet so these arent `offical` retailers.

Interestingly enough, the 64GB one I also posted is from DigiGood too.
