Anyone know if you can connect a external hard drive via the usb? I'm at work and wondering if i could pull files via a direct connection to say a WD Passport hard drive I use to store movies and music. If someone has tried can you let me know?
This requires "USB OTG" (On The Go, aka "host mode") and it is not supported at this time. They claim maybe later this summer. Hardware is there for it, but not software yet.
Note that just because they add OTG support doesn't necessarily mean a given USB peripheral will automatically work. They may or may not support your use case when they add that.
