    Hi
I bought a 32gbPlayBook, from a BlackBerry employee. He sold to me for 110$,. But what I noticed in the back n even load the os, it's asking so sim. But I thought it wifi.
But when u tried to open the back door to insert the sim it's not opening. Look like glued or etc.
How do I know it's LTE device or regular device. Also noticed, there's a sticker saying employee clearance device or something

It is the LTE if there is a SIM tray. If you peel off the sticker, it will show 4G LTE underneath. In the about screens of the setting you will also see a SIM card section in the drop down menu.

I bought one of these and managed to get the SIM tray out and it worked with a SIM from my phone.

The tray is glued where the two bumps for retaining the tray are shown in the picture. It looked like two drops of super glue were placed on the bumps and the tray inserted.

The tray is metal, so you don't have to worry about breaking it. I put a couple drops of acetone in the seam between the tray and the case and used a watch case opening knive to work it a bit and it eventually popped open.

It was my second LTE Playbook, the first being a retail unit without the glued tray, so I knew how the tray came out.

I got one of these employee PB's from eBay and you don't need to have a sim card or have it installed, to load the OS. When going thru the setup screens, just swipe to the next one when it asks for the sim card. I haven't opened the glued sim tray yet and don't think that I will need to; the BB Bridge or wifi hotspot from my Z10 replaces that.
Overall, I really like the new-found performance from the LTE PlayBook. The faster chip makes a noticeable difference with most apps and for me it really improves the streaming quality with my tv in the basement and the wifi router a couple of floors up. Once the buffer loads, it streams tv shows or movies perfectly without any lags.
