Approx. 50 hrs back the email went offline not sending (4 emails stuck in send file with the clock icon) or receiving (but viewable on a regular computer).

Goto email >accounts and see both previously working email accounts stating, "not connected"

Goto edit mode on both accounts, and above all the input fields;
"please connect to a network and try again"

IF this is referring to a internet connection network. It is active (and the browser does find websites) !

Reinput pwd on the acc't it just states;
"server for(.......) is either offline or your settings are incorrect. Please chk your settings and try again"

And on the acc't listing, at both, there is the generic 'bust' avatar with the numeral '31' .

Is there known 'fix', or just a utility broke on this particular aging 1stGen unit ?

You have rebooted you PlayBook?

Might try deleting all account, rebooting and trying to recreate them.

Are they all different accounts? Or are they all from the same provider?

Lot's of people have issues with systems changing their authentication levels.... but I would not expect you'd see that on three different accounts unless they all use the same service.

hmmmm strange I had posted a thanks to ya (last week) for the subtle reminder of the hard off, but seems to have dissappeared... not appearing here it seems !?

So anyways ... turning off (not just a restart) email client works again and even cleared up a browser bookmarked sites (eviro'canada) not showing up, problem too

Cleared the cache i presume ?
