in bridged mail and in native mail, downloading to open .doc and docx files - docs to go
downloading starts and the blue .doc screen shows for a few seconds, than crashes

anyone has the same problem, and know of how to solve it

I have the exact same issue. It is really annoying. I'll download a file via an email attachment or a DROPBOX enabled app, and the load screen for Excel or Word Will appear after the file is downloaded. At this point the app will crash and the document will refuse to open. If I attempt to open the same document, the Docs To Go app refuses to recognize the response.

I'm not sure where this error stems from but it makes the PlayBook limited in the function of document editing. I just never know what documents will open and which will not. It is very sporadic and I've yet to find a pattern.

Anyone else experience this issue? Have you found a workaround?

Picsel Smart Office Lite is free and you could see if this works but the Pro version is $9.99.

I am still having the same problem. Sometimes after restarting the playbook the file will open, but I have yet to find any common cause.

I still have the problem, it was never resolved

Plus I am using a new IPad mini now as a back up, no problem there as I cant rely on the PB to read my dociments for business
plus I bought an UNLOCKED HUAWEI E585 for my foreign travels
