Just want to say for those of you who grew up with a flashing cursor and a command prompt, not a mouse pointer and icons give DOSBOX a try, I just finished a Zork1 gaming session and am loving it!:D

Love DOSBOX for PC and was amazed to see it for PB.
Just had a 1-0 Soccer Manager marathon (best soccer sim ever IMHO)

After Windows came - it took me a few years to accept using a mouse, and to not use DOS command prompt... Even the old editors were so easy to use, compared to those clumpsy Windows things... :) Good old days... and back then - we focused on getting things done, instead of looking at wallpapers and pictures...
There's a whole other HUGE thread on Dosbox elsewhere on the forums - http://forums.crackberry.com/playboo...8/index29.html
A bit off topic but one of the great things about learning computers in the days of DOS was you learned to be organized. When you had to CD\ to go from one directory to another you didn't want to have files scattered all over the place. These days most people have files and folders scattered all over the place.
LOL but it was kind of like going from doing everything manually and physically in the factory to having robots do the hard parts.
Agree. Really like that I can play MOO & MOO2. Still trying to crack the nut on modifying the AUTOEXEC to automatically steer me to the right location - or maybe create some named batch files.
I run Windows 95 in DosBox.
Can run some pretty decent games. It's really cool.
I've been trying to find my old Windows 3.1.1 disks but alas I've been unsuccessful. I REALLY want to get this running on my PlayBook too! :)
Yeah, but have you attempted to
ren *.doc *.txt
Some things just worked "weller" in Dos!
Does it actually run smoothly with sound and all? IIRC there were some people who said a few months earlier that the Win95 loaded from dosbox is not useable. I have a couple of *really old* windows games from my youth that I would love to play on a plane...
I'm still in the process of loading Windows 3.1 on mine but I have run several DOS shareware games and have experienced no issues at all once I figured out how to load it all on there and map the drive. A big thank you to all the forum members that assisted me by the way. :)
