I bought a WiFi cam and works great on my laptop, but when I try it on my PB it asks to D/L java....no go?

yes,,, playbook runs java in the browser,,, if your camera has an address try typing it in the browser...

I actually don't know about JAVA but the Browser runs javaSCRIPT which, I believe, is different.

No to JAVA. Yes to JavaScript (as noted), which has nothing in common with JAVA

Dang. It wants to run Java Runtime Environment..... No go on the camera I guess. This is a D -Link device.

Unless there is some third-party way to connect to the camera without Java, it's a no. Or perhaps D-Link have an Android app you could try converting and sideloading?

To see if javascript is running, swipe down from top while in the browser and select "Settings" then "Content" and enable JavaScript.

Try the IP Cam View App. It works on a lot of cameras.
