PW for PB AND PW for USB/WIFI sharing AND password for phone.
You may think it's a bit heavy, but I must admit ... some are (almost) the same.

I do but it is simple one just to keep the screen from unlocking when I tuck it under my arm, etc.

Not yet. But that may change with 2.0---if the highly anticipated remote control feature makes it as useful as the BB it's bridged to (which IS password protected.)

You need another option in the poll: "It is when I travel with it."

That's when I first started using a PW on it was when I travel.
Now just leave the PW on all the time.
It's like wearing a seat belt you just get used to it.

Not at the moment, but once PIM info is local I will start to. Currently i don't save any personal info or webite passwords (except crackberry) so no worries. That will change with 2.0.

I wouldn't trust the password protection.
I've never been able to reproduce it, but one time, when I put my playbook to sleep by pressing the power button, no matter how many times I tried to lock my playbook/put it to standby, it would load up my apps when I swiped my playbook or pressed on the power button.

The screen loaded with no menu bar (the bar at the top that shows the power, the wifi, etc), but I was able to access all my apps and files.

I think it eventually loaded the password login screen but that is kind of scary that the password protection fails to load. Not that it is a big issue for me since I don't have anything sensitive on it, but it begs to wonder how secure files on it would be.

I'm curious. How often do you put your PlayBook in standby and swipe it out of standby each day?

I do this probably at least 50 times. There's no way I can see myself putting up with entering my password that often. Sometimes I have it on for only about 5 seconds too...

My guess is that our usage patterns are very different.

Phone is, pb is not. Since all potentially confidential info is on phone don't see the need to pw the pb as well. Did at first but it was a pain. Very annoying to have to enter a password in order to snooze my alarm in the morning!!
