I contacted the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) directly by email on 23/07/2011 and asked about DLNA certification process and if the BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet will be DLNA certified and this was their reply;
'' Thank you for your interest in DLNA. It is up to member companies to implement DLNA in their specific products. DLNA is a standards organization with a certification program for our member companies to ensure their devices have gone through our rigorous testing procedure to ensure interoperability between DLNA devices. Research in Motion, the makers or Blackberry, are members of the DLNA organization but have not yet certified any Blackberry products. You can contact them directly if you have any questions or concerns about their specific product(s).''
Wow the title of this thread is inaccurate as H3||. They haven't submitted for certification does not equal will never have! I doubt that DLNA is as high on the list of priorities as e-mail, PIM, java, android player, etc.
