It does sound like a hardware problem. But after the OS reload, did it still show the problems before you restored apps and/or data (if you restored those things)? In other words was it initially okay and then after restoration did it show the ghosting.

If you can call Rim, maybe you are close to warranty or if they did not register you on purchase.....

The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

I have not restored anything after os reload. But still the problem remains. I am really not sure how this warranty thing will work for me because I bought this PB when i was in Thailand and now Im in Nepal..so its not even among the supported countries list of BB. The cost of sending this device to any other country for repair would be really high and I'm sure PB cannot be repaired here in Nepal.. I have not seen anyone carry this device except some tourists in coffee shops. Well, I guess this is the sad end for a nice love story between me and BB devices.

This just appear on my Playbook today! Have not did anything with it since the last time I used it yesterday. How is this randomly happening to our Playbooks at the same time?

I guess this is a planned attack on us PB users who were demanding OS10 (kidding) . Anyway Im sure on my part that i did not do anything at all except check emails which im so sure wont damage LCD. Either the hardware (LCD) they installed were like ticking timebomb or BB really screwed the last update. I dont know and Im frustrated at the moment.

Thanks, I tried and it looks good on monitor. Even screenshots came clear.. here i have an attachment. Also the pictures taken from camera is clear. However, on pb its still the same, the colors of icons and all are still good, not much faded but there are lots of ghost images of windows that i previously browsed. Even while i reboot pb in which it shows blackberry and loading circles, i can see images of my facebook and emails. Since a lot of people are having exact same problem, I am really not sure if its a hardware problem or a software problem. Would really love to know if anyone indeed figured out the problem and fixed it.
Since the view on the monitor and the screen shots are clear it would seem that it would be a problem with the PB screen and probably a hardware problem although maybe just inthe part of the sofrware that drives the screen. That may be done in the ROM and not user correctible. Are you in a hot, moist climate? Your screen shot looks not good when I enlarge it.

I've been having screen flickering problems for a few weeks now so I'm guessing that a little moisture has gotten in my Playbook. That would explain the screen losing color as well. I've been able to "fix" each problem with a reset but not sure how long that will work for.

If you are in your warranty period, check out the list to service numbers above. But if you have some reason to believe moisture is the problem, then the warranty would probably be invalid.
