Apologies if this has been posted before!

Does anyone know if the PB's GPS sensor can be user-disabled? I'm thinking either through airplane mode or through the Settings > Location and Security menu (Quick App Manager).

Any ideas? I used to tinker with navigation apps on PB but don't bother any more, so would like to disable the GPS (especially if it means slightly better battery life!)

    Thanks, guys.

There is no way to disable the GPS.
What I remember from threads long ago with the Battery Guru app author, the GPS uses very little power when not active. As long as you are not using any navigation apps it should not make a measurable difference to your battery life.

Airplane mode turns off GPS, along with all other radios.
