Can anyone help me. I have a number of avi videos that for some reason desktop manager will not recognize during a sync with my PlayBook. I keep getting a message saying that the files are incompatible. This doesn't happen with all of them just a few.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Not all AVI files will play on the PB. If the audio stream is AC-3 audio, the audio won't play, so desktop manager probably won't transfer these files. You can download a program called MediaInfo, which will tell you what audio and video codecs were used for the video files that you have. MediaInfo

Thanks I'll check that out. I compare the properties (i.e. Bitrate size etc) but didn't see any real differences.

If the audio is the problem, is there away to convert the files?

You can use XVid4PSP Winnydows Home Set video to copy and audio to AC3

Avi only refers to the method of combining audio and video files, but does not specify with codec for either is used. When converting make sure you have universal codec installed or you will have problems syncing the vidoe and audio, you'll make kung fu movies!
