Hey guys,

I had bought a N.O.S. BlackBerry PlayBook from Walmart last year. It's a 16 gb model. It was sitting in the store since 2011, and was never opened up or sold. I bought it for $75.00. My issue is that it has one burned out or defective pixel in the screen. It does appear to disappear when you tilt the unit a certain way, and shows back up again when tilted back. Is there something that can be done, or a place to send this unit, so it can be repaired or replaced? Would sending it into BlackBerry be of any help?

If you powered it up, and registered it with BB, the time clock started at that time. IF less than one calendar year, "maybe" BB would do something, but highly unlikely.
Plus, for one pixel, it's not worth it to fix. cheaper to buy another unit.

The dead pixel problem was pretty common. I think one member went through 20 PBs at BestBuy. LOL. If it is not a row or really obstructs viewing, I wouldn't worry about it. I think there is a test/possible fix program on the site somewhere or maybe here:

You can try BBRY but I heard they ween't accepting anymore warranty returns or any returns for the PB.
