I have seen multiple threads with no perfect solution so wanted to open a new.

During a reinstall of the OS, I lost the default wallpapers. Can anybody extract them from their PlayBook and share?

There are couple of zip packages people had posted but they are wrong size (1024x600 instead of 1024x1024)...

    Thanks!

Sadly they are not the originals... They are screenshots so they are of size 1024x600... PlayBook uses 1024*1024 images as wallpapers so that it can show 1024*600 in landscape and 600*1024 in portrait... When the image is not correct size, it zooms in to create a common mid section which causes piexelation....

The way most people "lose" them is by doing a Security Wipe. They and the demo video generally do not get restored when the system restarts.

    Thanks Pacoman03!

How I lost mine was I reinstalled the OS using BlackBerry link... it also had some problems in restoring some stuff after the OS we reloaded, maybe that helped...

Thanks. Haven't done a security wipe yet. I will put up with the lost memory until I do.

There's no need to rename the files, the Playbook recognizes the .jpgp files.
