    Hi all;

    I have my daughter's playbook here. I've been trying to stack charge it with my regular playbook charger and rapid charger both - without success.

    I can get it where the red led lights - then get the empty battery with lightning bolt screen. That goes out and the led lights up yellowish - and grows in intensity - then goes out. It does not charge any beyond that. I cannot get it to the point where the led is pulsing. Other times, the red led lights and I get the 5 yellow pulses. Stack charging seems to get it this far, but no further. Randomly, it tries to boot up - flattening the battery again - ARGHH!!

    I've tried a de-brick with desktop manager - the os will load on to it, but there is not enough juice in the battery to boot up.

    Suggestions before I call BB for an RMA?

    Could be RMA time. How patient were you with stack charging? It can take hundreds of times to work.

    ok, when I get to the point that the led lights red, then goes out - battery symbol appears, then goes out - then yellow led lights and goes out - will it make a difference beyond this to stack charge further? Was thinking maybe that sequence was cancelling any charge I put on it beyond this?

    I've been pretty patient - but not "hundreds of times" patient..... Sixty times in one go, maybe.

    If you still have warranty, rma might be simple and about a week's time

    The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"
