I currently own a ipad2 but have gotten bored with it. I am thinking of picking up a Playbook. The only place I have found that sells them here in St Louis is Office Depot. They have 3 in stock on sale for $169. They are 16gb. I have a Bold 9900 as my backup phone. I'm interested in the Bridge app. What exactly can I do with the PB and my Bold? Also is that a good price or should I try and haggle for one on Craigslist?

Try to get one New In Box so you're not getting a completely messed up one... and be warned that the 16GB will no longer be manufactured.

Lots of things to do with the Bridge and the Remote to Playbook...
Bridge is Awesome.... read about it in the User Guide below...

    Enjoy!

    More features came with 2.1

This video is a bit out of date.

You can transpose your cell phone data through Bluetooth to 'tether' your Playbook to your tablet and share data across the devices. 1 data plan two devices, no need for hotspot or creating wifi. BlackBerry Bridge handles that. You can remote control your Playbook as a wireless mouse/keyboard. Very useful. Bridge allows you to also easily share your data across devices. Opening a webpage on playbook, or a photo from my phone. Excel, Word docs 'Open on Playbook' is really helpful. So much with BB Bridge and so much more with BB10

I love mine and have never looked back. quality tablet with a great web experience since it has flash support.

if you have a blackberry the experience is even better with the bridge function. its like a perk for loyalty

Buy and you will never regret. I can't remember how many times BB bridge has saved my bacon. For example, just came back from vacation where Internet was presumably provided. Well, it worked like crap and I just turned on the BB bridge. Simply awesome. People can blather on about skype and Netflix but boy when you have no Internet connection, it sucks big time. BB bridge is a huge selling factor.

I agree, I would expect prices more like $100/150/200 for 16/32/64GB models. It is actually a very good complement to an iPad, the iPad has the apps that the PlayBook doesn't, but the PlayBook is more portable and has Flash in the browser, widescreen format, and HDMI out.
