    Ha, now that's cool!

I used to have a Vic-20, which was kin to the 64.

I was just thinking about my old Commodore the other day. We had a ball exploring and exploiting what WAS possible instead of whining about what it couldn't do (never could get the thing to make me toast in the morning).

It was devices like the Commodore, armed with the thick and trusty reference manual, that guided my thinking towards possibilities instead of roadblocks.

The Palm community was a bit like that too.

Ah, thanks for bringing back the memories.

F2, I think you were trying to guess before... but that (Colossal Cave Adventure) is the one I was porting from FORTRAN. :-)

And it way predates the C64, guys!

Still have the old girl boxed in the cupboard. I get her out when I feel like reminiscing over some Ghosts and Goblins or Wonderboy. Fire her up and she works like a dream. Funny how I've trashed three motherboards but the C64 keeps on ticking. I wonder if we could get a fan club going?

had the c64 back in the day bought at the local ToysRUs. The disks back then were the size of a playbook if memory serves.

    bro, you think your funny...

not all the DOS SNES or NES emulator will work with the PB due to a difference in CPU. You would get an error message so i'm asking if some here have tried an SNES or NES DOS emu that works on PB

    Thanks bro

YUP! they had a 5.25" disk drive and also 'loaded' programs through standard reel to reel tape recorders (remember THAT!)

I too bought mine at ToysRUs. We even had one at work hooked up to make labels.

Believe it or not, you can now purchase an upgraded version

EDIT: I had mine hooked up to an old Stromberg-Carlson reel-to-reel recorder, so perhaps any tape would have worked ??

I think you mean cassette tape recorders, because I'm fairly certain reel-to-reels were never standard equipment with C64s, at least in North America.
