    My charging port only works when the charger is in a certain position, I bought the pb in February from Currys (UK) if I take it back would they give me a new one or will they send it off to blackberry? I didn't buy extra warranty on it, I presume it comes with a year though?

    Yes, as Jafobabe said, call RIM. Depending the the circumstances of the problem, RIM's response could be a "not our problem", a "send for repairs" or possibly an advance exchange, but only RIM customer support can decide. Hopefully it all works out for you.

    You mean the USB insert plug or the charger itself? The plugin is only supposed to work when it is inserted properly.

    with all respect, in the uk the contract is with the vendor during the first year. return it to currys, as to whether they will send it for repair or replace is moot until you reach the store. the current fire-sale may work in your favour, if you convince them that your case is strong enough for an instant replacement due to a fault (offer to buy the extended warranty for 32gbp, that may sway them and will give you accidental damage going forward!)

    The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"
