Is there any way to change or add tones on the PB that alert us to a new message?
Not yet.
I wouldn't expect to see it in 2.0 either.
They are aware of the desire to "theme" these things, but I'd expect it to be many months yet before we hear of any progress on it.
Nor does there seem to be a simple way to turn off alerts at night, unless I've missed something.. :(
Since I am a simple man with apparently a simple PTSD mind ;), what alerts are there on the PB other then the little icon on the upper left hand corner that reminds me that there are updates available for my apps?
I'm referring to the tone itself and not the glowing red corner or light.
There's email/phone/appt alerts, too, and they make noises (heliocopter like noises!!!!!) as well as the RED CORNER and Envelope icon in upper left).
Yes, I know....I'm just not aware of those audible tones you speak of.
For me they all make the same noise regardless of the type of alert. I never heard the helicopter sound I would love to have that?
4-F guy aka F2 was trying to make a funny....there are no whirlybird tones. ;)
