As far as I know, you have to do a security wipe to change your BB ID.

how can i do a security wipe? and if i do a security wipe will it erase everything?

I think you can change/update your BB ID without doing a security wipe of your PlayBook. I haven't tried this myself, but if it does what you need, it's definitely faster and easier than doing a security wipe.

1) Fire up BB App World, then click on the question mark in the upper right hand corner. This will open up BB App World Help/Support.

2) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the "Update your BlackBerry ID account information" and then click on the link.

I'm not sure what options you have or what you can change once you click on the link.

i had the same problem before.. the only thing u can do is the security wipe out. yes it will delete all your data so back it up

There is no need to do a security wipe

Simply

Go to the HELP icon on the home desktop
Go to BB AppWorld
Go to update your ID
Go to the link and follow instructions to change your ID

This will change both appWorld and the PB's ID

i did this and still no go. i did a security wipe and it worked but after i did a restore it brought back the other blackberry id.

This didn't work for me either . I had to do a security wipe and re-do everything manually. i linked it to a new ID. Problem is I lost the 1 PB app I had paid for because I purchased it under my old ID.
