So I got myself a little headrush bluetooth speaker but my excitement was short lived.
I can watch a few minutes of streaming video or maybe a song on slacker radio. Then freeze up. I have no problem when I turn bluetooth off. The bluetooth signal interferes with the wifi?
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

I'm not really an expert on radio frequencies but I think that BT might have a similar band/frequency as some routers. Is your router Dual band? Can you change the channel or band to the 5.x band?

Others may certainly know more than I do on this topic.

    Good luck

Couple of things... First, you didn't say what device you were trying to stream from. I used that little HeadRush speaker with a Bold 9900 and was stunned at how good it was.

Second, if you're using either a PlayBook or a Z10, it's not going to work well. I've found there are two kinds of Bluetooth speakers: ones with their own volume controls, and those that depend on you to adjust it on your device. The latter won't adjust volume at all with a Z10. I picked up a very nice Monster Clarity, though, and it sounds great and has its own volume and skip controls.

Very interesting article. Thanks for that. Anyone have an opinion about whether it would be worth trying another brand of speaker?

As I say, for BB10 any speaker is good AS LONG AS it has its own volume control.

It's also great with the BB Music Gateway.

I would guess that it has something to do with the version of blue tooth your peripheral device has compared to your Z10.
