Although I encoding the video format, it can't play 720p or 1080p video contents clearly.
Of course, demo video file also have freeze status while play video.
My Playbook can play only under 800X480 size vide file.

How can I solve this problem... is it software or hardware problem ?

Hi, welcome to cb. How long have you had it? Have you ever restarted it or shut it down? Sometimes a 3 finger salute helps get things working - hold all at the same time the power + and - buttons until it you see the options appear, keep holding them and it will go blank and restart.

I know for a fact that Kalemsoft Media Player will play them in appworld. 6.99 though, but its a monster of a media player. can even stream them from computer if you want. Might not be what you expected but its a option if you are a heavy video user. The dev is on here and has released updates since its original release

I pushed a 1080p mkv with DTS through my playbook with Kalemsoft player fine (2.1.1 solved this previous versions stuttered) but maybe your file is at a much larger bit rate, if the file's playing fine on the PC I'd go to Kalemsofts website and open a support ticket, they'll give you an FTP where you can upload a sample and they'll look into it - they have good customer service

You might want to examine the various codecs (coding) for the audio and video aspects.

Gspot and MediaInfo can give you a listing of that info. Report that back here and maybe someone can point out an issue with that file or files.

I agree with F2. The 720p & 1080p files I have on my PB play just fine, and really sweet when I output them to my home theatre system via the hdmi output.

Your problem must be either (i) the files are not in the right format or using the wrong codes, or (ii) your OS needs to be re-installed.

Have you tried calling the 1-800 # for PlayBook support?

You keep using the word "clearly" which leads me to agree with what's been stated above about the video format being incorrect.
