I used Lightroom slideshow feature to export slideshow into 720p MP4 file. I copy it to my playbook and it shows up in the Videos app (it shows correct duration) but when I try to play it, it starts and then goes back to the list of files. Has anyone else tried to play MP4 files from Lightroom?

Yup, I have a ton of mp4 files that I created myself. Most of them are 1080P and they all play perfectly

You created them in Lightroom or elsewhere?

I created them elsewhere but what size is the 720p mp4 file?

can you play the mp4 file on your computer and does it work?

The 720p file is 130Mb and 1080p file is 470mb. Both play fine on PC but neither will play on PlayBook.

Now, I used tool called GSpot to check the codecs and it appears my movies which play fine on PB are using mp4v codec (MPEG-4 Video) while my slideshow generated from Lightroom is using avc1 (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC) codec...

I wonder if this is the reason...?

my 1080p files are h264/AVC, what level is lightroom using for AVC? 4.1? 4? 5.1?

Not sure where to check that ... here is what GSpot shows about the mp4 (attached image)

    AVC H264 MP4 and MPEG4 MP4 are the two types of MP4 format,playbook only recognize AVC H264 MP4 format.

So this is really weird because my PlayBook can play MPEG4 MP4 without any problems but cannot play H264/MP4 AVC at all!
