    I recently purchased a fibre optic boroscope camera that will connect via a standard usb to most any pc or laptop. Will it work ons a PlayBook ( like a wel cam)

    Good answers guys- very helpful. As to the OP, probably the only way to do this is indirectly. If you plug your camera into your laptop or desktop and run it on that, you can use an app like Splashtop to mirror what's happening on your PC screen to your Playbook.

    I use my PB as a baby monitor by connecting it into a wifi cam and using an app called "TinyCam". It's an android port but works great. The only problem is the PB cannot be set to always keep the display on (officially). Not quite the same set up you have but with the right hardware you can use the PB to monitor video.

    I know there has been a lot of discussion in the past about porting to/from Android, but is this difficult? And what are the risks? TnyCam sounds intriguing.
