If I plug my Playbook into the rapid dock and let it stay there for 24/7, will anything bad happen to the Playbook's battery? I want to use it as an alarm clock for now until BB10 arrives.

Nothing bad will happen, rock on and let er rip. You'll be fine, that's how I roll myself. Check out App World for some better clocks and timers. In 1.5 days I can officially call App World BlackBerry World...

Download Bed-Buzz, great alarm clock app, very customizable, don't waste your time on the free version, I used my PB as an alarm clock for over a year on the dock charger, love it!

Like others have said, your playbook will be fine. I Just purchased a rapid charger 2 weeks ago and I use antair nightstand on mine.

The native alarm clock works well. Just pull down the calendar in the top middle of the home screen and you're good to go.

I plan to download the Antair app one of these days but for those just wanting an old school type alarm with a few different type of tone, the native alarm is good and easy to use. Tap the time date at the top of your home screen, it will open up you will see the alarm icon, tap it and the clock will show up then you tap that and you will see the alarm options.

Antair night stand is what I've been using and and enjoying the smart themes.

Also, the PB charging dock is a trickle charger and don't harm your PlayBook.

I just leave my pb charging before I hit the sack to a full charge then when I go to bed I unplug my doc and leave the alarm clock set with bed-buzz works great only loose about 5-3% of the charge.

sometimes when my playbook has sat on its dock till full charge I take it off and sometimes the charge or plug trickle charge icon stays on and the power button has no effect when pressed, just a small glitch though it rectifies itself after restarting.

As long as you set it for 9 AM tomorrow, it should work beautifully.
