Just set it up on your playbook, yes
yes, just dont ask me how I did it:sarcastic:
seriously you may link it exactly how you are supposed to and it doesnt work but go back in an hour or next day and it works for some reason.
Lov this playbook but its moody
My playbook native email is currently connected to yahoo mail.
Can I delete yahoo and connect my PC outlook so that it is connected to the native playbook email, or do you have your outlook on your PlayBook separately?
Shouldn't there be step by step instructions on CB somewhere on how to do this?
Don't understand what you are driving at with the term native email. You can have several email accounts on PB and select one as your first choice for use. PB a,so has an Android email app which I occasionally see when using Advanced App Manager. Not sure what use it is.
What email provider are you using in Outlook - corporate Microsoft Exchange, outsourced provider (perhaps also Exchange), Gmail, Yahoo, etc.? All work with the PB's native email application - only the set-up differs. Let us know and we can probably help. It's pretty straightforward.
My IP is Rogers. When I first got Rogers, they used my pre-existing yahoo mail account and that is what is linked to my outlook email on my PC.
On my playbook, I just used the yahoo email account directly. Now that Yahoo calendar is no longer supported for blackberry, this is not convenient for me, so I would like to use the outlook instead.
Does that help? If not, I can provide whatever information necessary.
I just meant the playbook mail icon that takes you to your accounts; people call it 'native' email
I think we are getting confused on terminology, due to Microsoft's inept naming of things. There is the Outlook email client program (a part of Microsoft Office Suite) and there is outlook.com ( Microsoft's email domain name aka hotmail.com and live.com). The Outlook client program on a PC works the same as the native email client on the PB, e.g you can add multiple email accounts and receive/send/read email from those accounts. The Outlook client program on the PC also has a calendering function where you can add appointments and such. I think the OP only has a yahoo.com email address (not sure if yahoo calendar is involved) and wants to sync the Outlook calendar from the PC to the PBs calendar. Is that a fair assessment?
just connect them all (separately) to your playbook (instructions are everywhere on howto) emall program from that email icon which comes loaded with the OS for your playbook.
You can connect to different email providers (Rogers, Yahoo etc) and you can click on viewing them separately by accounts if you wish (i believe its the multiple page/book icon in the email program). If you currently use a Name.Yahoo account you can continue to use this. If you have a Rogers email that you want to use - you can connect this as well. The email program that comes already loaded on your playbook (top icon) will allow you do recv and send emails from many different providers (i.e. yahoo, gmail, rogers, etc). Note, I believe emails will be saved on playbook for a specified period of time - a couple weeks i think.
If I have typed some wrong instructions here some more experienced users hopefully will clarify. I have a bad memory and I am lacking sleep right now ;)
The PB calendar app allows you to maintain mulriple differemt calendars. See help. Don't know if there is a provision to allow syncing calendars.
