Given the playbook has no sd card access, has anyone found a way to load pictures directly from a digital camera to the playbook without a computer?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Probably not going to happen. i don't even see how it would be possible for that to take place...

My eye-fi card arrive in today's mail but I have not looked at it yet although yesterday in anticipation I did sideload the eye-fi module on my pb. I will probably be back in that thread asking for HELP!
As an update, at home, the eye-fi card does transfer to my pb. It is slow and I'm not sure but occasionally glitches and I wind up with 2 copies of some photos but it does rename them automatically so it just makes things slower but not impossible.
But this weekend I was in a wifi-poor hostel and so thought I have enabled Direct mode where you don't need outside wifi but it did not work. I've yet to check out why it failed and I may have missed some step.
But, at least, at home, eye-fi can transfer to the pb using my home network. But I think moving the card might be faster! :D If only rim would enable OTG usb!
I've seen a ton of these thread on transfering photos direct from your camera to your playbook. My question is, are you then editiing your photos on your playbook? I know there are some editing apps out there, but I can't image editing on a 7" screen even as good as the playbook screen is.
For snapshots I can see it, I guess it would be ok, but even when I'm shooting casual shots I still want to edit in lightroom and photoshop, even if it's just a little sharping or contrast adjustment.
I can't answer for others and I've really just started/tried this eye-fi transfer. But I want it to potentially free up space on the camera's card, create quick backups of my photos as well as just look at my images on a larger screen.
So, at the moment, I'm not really trying to edit images. But there are photo editing tools that have been given reviews by others in the apps subforum here at CB.
I cannot wait for the USB OTG feature to be enabled on the PlayBook. Security, I believe is the limitation here.. However, it's just a matter of time before a work around is released. It would be cool to see RIM release Flash drive security protection softwares which need to be installed on the Flash devices via DM prior to any use. A simple work around I think so..
Anyways, Even WiFi can play a role somewhere here considering DSLRs are now being manufactured with WiFi networking.
Edit, Another method I go around is, after blindly copy-pasting the DSLR images, I take PlayBook screenshots to quickly 'Crop' the images, PicShop, etc. are good at editing images for post work. Surprisingly, the PlayBook screenshots are displayed well in fullscreen on my 40" Sony HDTV via PlayBook HDMI-out. The only limitation would be that 'zoom-in' on the cropped images (read: screenshots) is not applicable since resolution has been cut down drastically.
Unfortunately, if you are a professional photographer then a tablet is currently far far away from addressing your needs.
