In my ever increasing desire to keep using my 16GB Playbook, I've been experimenting with self powered streamers. A little while ago, I tested the Kingston Mobilelite and it worked fairly well.
Now, I've tested the Buffalo Ministation Air, which is a battery powered 500GB hard drive with it's own wi-fi point. I found the Android app and got it converted on Apk2Bar and I'm pleased to say, it streams movies, music videos, mp3s etc very well indeed.
The drive is about 80. As it works on the Playbook, I'm pretty sure it would work on any BB10 device.

The Seagate WiFi External Hard Drive allows streaming via the BlackBerry PlayBook web browser and acts as a WiFi network.

I haven't tried either of the storage units with the browser - I'm not a big fan of the original browser or the other one. For the Kingston In both my tests, I used Android apps converted to Bar files. In my opinion, the Buffalo was the better experience provided you had your files in the correct formats ( i.e. Mp4)
