Keep it quarantined as in Bluetooth it with my cell phone? If my network is affected do I have to do a hard network reset? As in redo the router set up?
I dunno. This is uncharted territory. I don't even know if a virus can propagate through a network. Yeah, bridge or a hotspot with your cell phone would isolate from your wifi. LOL. I can't believe that only the PB is affected. A security wipe should have taken care of it IMHO.

The easiest way to try and fix is installing Origami browser. It has a pop-up blocker and full screen mode. If those still don't work, something bad might have happened.

Yup, security wipe it. Not reset it.

    How do I supply video?
Take a video with your camera. Upload it to YouTube. Then link to it here- there are a set of icons above the respond section in the "Quick Reply" box. Click on the fourth icon from the right to link to the vid. It'll show here as the vid below does (showing my playbook running two videos at one time).

Update: I downloaded the origami browser and the pop ups are gone completely!? Does that mean I'm just an *** and the factory installed 'browser' that came with pb simply became outdated to pornhub?

Gremlins. LOL. I think you will like Origami. I think most use it. It is what the native browser should have been. But it is missing a few features and the developer is AWOL. Sorry you had to expose the dirty laundry.

I still worry that the pop ups are the result of a malware infection; in terms of diagnostics I have:

    - advanced app manager did not detect any threats
    - my PC scan of the PB with malwarebytes and avast both turned up nothing.

I'm worried about using the PB to sign in to my online banking or for anything protected. Are there any other suggestions? The pop ups are gone with origami. I suppose a true virus/malware/infection would continue to cause pop ups?

I'm hesitant to link a video, just because my youtube and google accounts are one (like everyone else) and I'd rather not associate them with my dark passenger.

Thanks very much everyone. If you have any other suggestions, please do.

You should do a security wipe from the options menu. This will wipe the device and reload the OS so it should remove any cling ons that you may have accumulated. You will also lose your files so be sure to move those to a PC first.

    Nice Dexter reference.

In the playbook browser, swipe down and look in settings and see if you have given any permissions affecting pornhub. Also there is a pop up blocker there. You can also look at the browser icon under help.

I'd be very confident after a security wipe. All browsers work a little different on webpages so popups don't necessarily mean virus/malware. If you really just did the hardware reset (power vol +/-), I don't know how you lost your pictures. Don't worry about the "dark side". You're among friends here. Hehe, I bet even the Baby's done it...

The uninstaller I referred to in a previous report was the free version of Revo Uninstaller. This Uninstaller was used on Windows 7. The following URL is for the Revo site where they will try to sell you a Pro version but offer a free trial. You can download the free version from several sites.
