How do I stop the browser from crashing so much? I was ignoring it at first, but this crap is really annoying me now. And no, clearing the cache doesn't work, I'm only using one tab and i'm not running any apps in the background.

It doesn't crash every day. But on the days that it does, it sometimes does it A LOT.

Sometimes a hard reset helps. I've only had it happen to me a couple times but that did the trick for me.

Are you using the standard OS or the beta?

Any particular site causing the problem?

Also make sure you have a strong wifi signal. Could also be part of the problem

Thank you so much! I haven't been using it long enough to test the crashing but it already seems like it's quicker and not hanging up as much. I'd prefer it to keep my history so I can get back easily if it does crash, but this'll do for now.

When my browser crashes, I find that the RAM is low. Either because I have a lot of apps open or the website itself takes up a lot of RAM.

Thanks. I must be missing something, where is "privacy and security?" I found "security" but not privacy and security.

Not the playbook settings, the settings within the browser... open browser then swipe down from top bezzle then settings on the right.

I have a new 64 PB and a 32. The 64 is running 1.8 and I have to reboot it constantly. It drops my wireless conection and is generally being a pain. My 32 is stable and runs good on 2.o.7111

Well, I am happy to report that, im my case, at least, I have never used a device that was more stable and worked more smoothly than my PlayBook. Never a freeze. Never a crash.

Same here... have not had one problem with mine... well ok one... I was playing Bejewled 2 so long it really heated it up and went blank. So I shut it off till it cooled down and powered up and was good to go.

Hey fellas, what is the difference between private browsing and normal browsing? What makes the browser run faster when you set it to private?

It doesn't save cookies, cashe, history other various needless data. Therefore the browser doesn't have to do as much while going to various websites/links. thats all really.
