Help. I have a broken USB port on my Playbook and I can't find anyone to fix it. I have heard that there are alternate charging methods out there. Is this true. Can anyone give me some advise? Thanks in advance.

the playbook magnetic rapid charger. It uses the three pin connector on your playbook. Check ebay.

Are you sure it's the port on the PB and not the charger plug? I've had loose and non fuctioning connections there twice before and a new charger fit tight and worked both times. The charger usb plug is sacrificial by design.

No it's actually has missing pins. I have a few chargers around since we have a couple of z10's as well and none will work.

Is there a place to send the PB for the USB fix. Even if I buy a charging device, I still need to be able to plug it up to the computer for back ups. Please help

You can send it in to BB for repair, but at a cost. Probably cheaper to do a googlie search and find someone local that can handle the replacement of the connector port on the Motherboard.

In the interim, you don't need it hooked up to the computer to manage your files, you can do it over wifi.
